Our Lava Collection is inspired by Iceland’s volcanic landscapes, reminiscent of the moon. The first Lava stud earrings were made with an imprint of a natural piece of lava, collected by Anna during her many strolls through nature on her travels to Iceland. Later, she continued to create matching earrings inspired by the same organic, raw structure. Formed when magma, melted rock, erupts from a volcano and comes into contact with the Earth’s cool atmosphere where it solidifies, lava stone carries a sense of monumentality; a silent story of what used to be. It is said to have a grounding effect and to strengthen its wearer’s connection to Mother Earth. The distinctive shape of our Lava earrings was created through experimentation, based on the periphery of a natural Brazilian quartz gemstone. Due to their versatility and elegant yet playful look, our Lava jewellery designs are a perfect match for both chic occasions and casual wear.
